The Travel Cath Lab Technologist plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care within the cardiovascular department. This position involves advanced technical skills and a commitment to quality healthcare.
Certification Requirements- ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Required)
- BLS: Basic Life Support (Required)
- ARRT: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (Preferred)
- RCIS: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (Preferred)
- Work schedule: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a minimum call requirement of one night per week and one weekend per month.
- Cross-training in the Electrophysiology lab is highly desirable.
- Provide direct patient care, including sheath removal and the interpretation of hemodynamic waveforms and electrocardiographic readings.
- Manage inventory and assist with patient transfers.
- Prepare, maintain, and operate advanced radiologic equipment safely and effectively.
- Support physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral catheterizations.
- Contribute to the monitoring of the quality control program.
- Ideal candidates will have cross-training in both the Electrophysiology and catheterization labs.
- Education: Completion of an approved Cardiovascular Technology Program or an Associate's Degree in Radiologic Studies (Required).
- Relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Preferred: At least one year of experience as a cardiac catheterization or interventional radiology technologist.
All personnel at Temple University Hospital must be vaccinated or possess an agency-approved medical or religious exemption for COVID-19.
