About the Role
As a Clinical Nursing Faculty Instructor, you will provide instruction that facilitates students' achievement of course objectives. You will engage in scholarly and service activities to promote your professional development and contribute to the success of the College and its students. You will consistently demonstrate Arizona College of Nursing's values of Passion, Adaptability, Accountability, Integrity, and Excellence.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Develops, implements, teaches, and evaluates the philosophy and objectives of the nursing education program.
- Designs, implements, teaches, evaluates, and revises the curriculum.
- Leads simulation learning experiences in the Nursing Lab.
- Teaches and evaluates students in the classroom, teach at least 36 credits annually.
- Supports students' progression in academics and socialization into the role of nursing.
- Utilizes an array of assessment tools to evaluate student learning.
- Demonstrates leadership by serving as a mentor to faculty, adjuncts, and students.
- Serves as an advisor to an assigned group of core nursing students; contacting advisees at least once a semester, in-person, by phone, and electronically.
- Develops student success plans and remediates at-risk students.
Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have:
Graduate degree required (Master's or higher); If the Graduate degree is not in nursing must have a Bachelors degree in nursing and a Graduate degree in a related discipline from an accredited program recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).A minimum of three (3) years experience as a professional registered nurse providing direct patient care.Previous experience teaching in a registered nursing program at a college or university is preferred.Holds a current unencumbered state professional registered nurse license or enhance compact nurse licensure relevant to the state of teaching location.Certified Nurse Educator certification and national certification in area of nursing specialty is preferred.Estimated Salary
$80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
