Position Overview:

As a Kitchen Team Member at Denny's, your primary responsibilities will include preparing meals to order, organizing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to our food preparation standards. Your main objective will be to ensure customer satisfaction by presenting meals according to Denny's guidelines and individual preferences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guarantee customer satisfaction through proper meal presentation and cooking according to Denny's standards and guest preferences.
  • Promptly report any safety concerns, equipment issues, or inventory shortages to management.
  • Prepare ingredients in accordance with recipes and company standards.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, including proper food storage, rotation, portioning, and punctuality.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the cooking area at all times.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork, side tasks, stocking, and daily cleaning duties.
  • Handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and promote the values of Denny's Inc. and its franchises.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods during peak hours.
  • Reach heights of approximately 5 feet and depths of 2 to 3 feet.
  • High level of mobility and flexibility in the kitchen.
  • Capability to work irregular hours and manage high-pressure situations.
  • Engage in bending, reaching, and walking.
  • Lift trays of food products weighing up to 20 pounds.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold.
  • Good mobility to navigate the kitchen area.
  • Practice safe work habits and possess knowledge of cleaning chemicals.
  • Comply with all local regulations regarding food handling.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Basic math skills are required.
  • Maintain high standards of personal hygiene.
  • Complete all required training, including anti-discrimination and anti-harassment training, and uphold our company's policies and values.
