Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled ToGo Cashier to join our team at Gringo's Mexican Kitchen. As a ToGo Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Service: Welcome and greet guests, answer questions about our food and services, and ensure they are satisfied with their dining experience.
  • Point of Sale Operations: Prepare final bills, present checks to guests, accept payments, and process credit card charges or make change.
  • Restaurant Maintenance: Perform side work at the start and end of each shift, maintain restaurant cleanliness, and follow the closing checklist to close the restaurant properly.
  • Team Collaboration: Attend all scheduled team member meetings and communicate guest feedback to managers.
Requirements
  • Previous Experience: Previous restaurant experience is optional but preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to read and understand simple instructions, write simple correspondence, and effectively present information to customers and other team members.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two and three-digit numbers and perform these operations using units of American money.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to stand for long periods, occasionally stoop, kneel, push, pull, lift, or carry up to 60 pounds, and ascend or descend ladders, stairs, or ramps.
Physical Requirements
  • Constant Standing/Walking: Constantly stand and walk throughout the shift.
  • Occasional Stooping/Kneeling: Occasionally stoop or kneel to perform tasks.
  • Occasional Lifting/Carrying: Occasionally lift or carry up to 60 pounds.
  • Occasional Ascending/Descending: Occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, or ramps.
  • Frequent Communication: Frequently receive and communicate detailed information through oral communication.
