Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Envelope Project Engineer to join our team at SKA Consulting Engineers, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting Project Leaders in conducting and managing projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and produce design and construction documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Perform construction observations to identify potential issues and ensure quality control.
  • Participate in condition assessments and evaluations of existing building envelope systems and structures.
  • Develop details and specifications to repair existing building structures or systems.
  • Provide design assistance and building envelope consulting services on new construction projects.
  • Document and communicate field conditions to Project Leader/Team to facilitate analysis and problem solving.
  • Perform project management tasks, including preconstruction submittal and shop-drawing reviews, scheduling, and implementation of project needs.
Requirements
  • Relevant bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Building Science, or Architectural Engineering.
  • Previous experience working in construction, building envelope, roofing, and/or testing.
  • At least 3 years of construction-related experience.
  • Knowledge of construction practices, terminology, building materials, field investigation methods, and scientific principles.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondences, and effectively present information.
  • Field and office work environment.
