Job Summary

Element Care is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurse (APRN) to join our team as a Behavioral Health Specialist. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality behavioral health services to clients in various settings, including nursing homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Behavioral Health Services: Conduct psychiatric evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide psychopharmacology management and psychotherapeutic support to clients.
  • Consultation and Collaboration: Offer behavioral health consultation to Primary Care clinicians and the Interdisciplinary Team to enhance their ability to integrate psychiatric concepts and skills into care delivery.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Accurately document interventions, medication plans, and client responses in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Program Development and Participation: Participate in Behavioral Health program projects to enhance clinical practice, teamwork, and program development.
  • Team Support and Coverage: Cover for Behavioral Health colleagues as needed and provide support to the team to ensure seamless care delivery.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Master's degree in psychiatric/mental health Clinical Nurse Specialist or Nurse Practitioner, or ANCC certification as a Psychiatric/Mental Health NP or CNS.
  • License and Experience: License to practice in the Commonwealth of MA as a Registered Nurse/Advanced Practice Nurse with prescribing authority, and 2-5 years of experience in an advanced practice role with prescriptive practice.
  • Additional Requirements: Minimum of 1 year of elder experience, evidence of competence in evaluation and treatment of older adults, including psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, crisis evaluations, and consultation to caregivers.
