Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Assistant to join our team. This position performs tasks related to fabricating steel plate safely, efficiently, and to Landmark's quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Measuring and Fabrication: Accurately measure, mark, and lay out materials/parts using a tape measure along with other layout tools.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Reliably listen and follow instructions from supervisors and colleagues.
  • Tool Operation: Safely and efficiently use a variety of hand and power tools, including saws, shears, punches, grinders, cutting torches, and handheld plasma torches.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely and efficiently operate an overhead crane and forklift or other heavy equipment.
  • Shop Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the organization of raw and processed materials.
  • Safety and Compliance: Understand and practice the Landmark Safety Policy, observing all safety practices and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 0-2 years of experience in a fabrication/steel fabrication or welding shop setting.
  • Certifications: Forklift certification is a plus.
