Radiology Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Radiology Technical Aide to join our team at Thomas Jefferson University & Jefferson Health. As a Radiology Technical Aide, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our radiology department.

• Assist radiologists, technologists, nurses, and other clinical and support staff in providing a wide range of healthcare services.
• Perform patient check-in, preparation for visits, assistance with procedures, and patient transportation.
• Monitor patient support devices and provide overall patient care.
• Assist in radiological rooms by providing blankets, bedpans, clothing changes, and other necessary items to patients.
• Inspect and replenish stock and linen in all patient care areas.
• Prepare examination rooms for procedures and provide back-up support to front office and film room staff.
• Train new transporters/escorts in proper patient care techniques.

• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Medical terminology knowledge preferred.
• Any combination of training and/or experience that will allow the incumbent to perform the listed duties.
• Previous medical office experience is desired.
