Freelance Graphic Designer

MediaCross is a dynamic team of creative professionals dedicated to delivering innovative solutions for our clients. We are seeking a skilled Freelance Production Artist to join our cross-functional team and contribute to the success of our projects.

• Collaborate with our team to prepare final, production-ready files based on supplied specifications, ensuring seamless delivery for print and digital applications.
• Adhere to deadlines and communicate effectively with the team to ensure timely completion of tasks and meet essential production deadlines.
• Transform supplied materials into production-ready formats, resolving any design or production issues that arise.
• Prepare images for various applications, including image manipulation, retouching, and clipping paths.
• Package and prepare files for release to clients, printers, and media partners, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
• Work with production vendors to obtain specifications and supervise projects, including press checks.
• Troubleshoot problems as they arise, collaborating with the creative team and production vendors to find solutions.
• Maintain production files, including fonts, images, logos, and other artwork, ensuring easy access and organization.
• Participate in meetings to support the creative team as needed, contributing to the development of innovative solutions.
• Establish a reputation for reliability and adaptability, working effectively under tight deadlines and in fast-paced environments.
• Stay informed about the latest design and production trends, industry best practices, and new technologies, applying this knowledge to continuously improve techniques and contribute innovative ideas.

• Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Communication Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
• Significant coursework in graphic design, print production, visual arts, or a related field, accompanied by a portfolio of work.
• Minimum two years' experience in an agency or marketing setting, preferably with experience in digital content creation.
• Experience working in a deadline-driven environment or an environment requiring high self-motivation.
• Knowledge of typography, layout, color theory, and design aesthetic.
• Experience with file preparation for both print production and digital deliverables.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a solutions-focused mindset.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, with proficiency in video and digital software (After Effects, Sketch, Google Web Designer, etc.) preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Proficiency working on a computer with a macOS operating system.
