Job Duties:
The travel nurse will coordinate and oversee home nursing care, applying the nursing process competently. Responsibilities include supervising Home Health Aides and Licensed Practical Nurses/Licensed Vocational Nurses, ensuring high-quality patient care.
Travel Requirements:
This position requires home visits and participation in periodic office meetings. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are mandatory, along with agency-required liability insurance.
Patient Load:
On average, the nurse will manage 5-8 patients per day, with a points system in place to track productivity. The contractor will be assigned between 5-10 patients daily, equating to approximately 6-8 points.
Experience Requirements:
A minimum of one year of experience in Adult Home Health or Hospice is required. First-time travelers are not accepted; recent specialty experience is necessary.
Certifications:
Current certifications in CPR and BLS are required. Proficiency in HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) and Oasis is essential for this role.
Work Schedule:
The schedule may vary, with weekend requirements depending on location and profession. Candidates should discuss specifics during the interview process.
Compensation:
The pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week, with tax-free stipends determined based on the assignment.
