Position Overview:


Job Title: Cloud Operations Administrator (Google, AWS, and Azure)
Work Location: Remote

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily cloud operations to guarantee optimal performance across various cloud platforms, including Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
  • Deploy monitoring solutions to assess performance, expenses, and resource utilization.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Implement managed applications, service catalogs, virtual machines, and service bus technologies.
  • Establish and manage database services, particularly NoSQL and SQL.
  • Conduct daily system monitoring to ensure the integrity and availability of all hardware and server resources.
  • Regularly patch hosting environments to maintain system security and stability.
  • Administer cloud backups and disaster recovery solutions, routinely verifying backup integrity.
  • Monitor the performance of all cloud environments (CPU, Disk Space, Network, etc.).
  • Create and manage critical alerts for all systems, integrating with the on-call notification system.
  • Serve as the primary contact for troubleshooting and support regarding cloud-related issues.
  • Assist in the creation and upkeep of architectural diagrams for service deployments.
  • Participate in the research, evaluation, and implementation of new cloud tools to enhance efficiency and performance.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud spending, providing management with reports on actual and projected costs.
  • Support other departments with business applications and collaborate closely with DevOps teams.
  • Utilize scripting and automation for cloud administration, leveraging tools such as PowerShell CLI, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, and Azure CLI.
  • Participate in after-hours support rotation as a subject matter expert for cloud services.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Technology or equivalent technical experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant cloud experience.
  • Proficiency in Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud platforms.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based networking, including VNETs and load balancing.
  • Expertise in cloud storage management.
  • Strong skills in scripting and automation for deployment and operational tasks.
  • Understanding of operating system internals and virtualization technologies.
  • Experience in disaster recovery planning and execution.
  • Proficient in supporting and upgrading Windows and Linux systems.
  • Solid understanding of PowerShell CLI and automation tools.
  • Knowledge of change management best practices.
  • Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and industry trends.
