Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Design Engineering team at Roche Holdings Inc. as a Technical Lead. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical leadership and accountability for mechanical engineering designs on capital projects and engineering services performed at our site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and oversight to design teams, ensuring that projects are executed in accordance with company standards and best practices.
  • Design Engineering: Develop and implement mechanical engineering designs for capital projects, including HVAC, piped utilities, plumbing, fire protection, building controls, automation, and energy management.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate with project managers, design vendors, and Alliance Partners to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Site Standards: Develop and maintain site-specific mechanical design standards, ensuring that they are aligned with company corporate standards and industry best practices.
  • Industry Engagement: Engage with industry experts, attend conferences, and participate in industry events to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in mechanical engineering.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Design Engineering team.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience: 15 years or more of pharmaceutical technology experience in industry or academia, with at least 8 years of direct involvement in mechanical system design, construction, and/or commissioning.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, leadership, interpersonal, collaborative, conflict resolution, and negotiating skills, as well as a good working knowledge of project design and construction.
  • Certifications: LEED/WELL/Fitwel certification, LEAN/Six Sigma certification, and/or experience working in a campus environment highly desired.
What We Offer
  • Competitive Salary: $139,000 - $258,100 USD Annual.
  • Discretionary Bonus: A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and company performance.
