PGS Worldwide, LLC is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to support ongoing projects for a leading Aerospace company in Oxnard, CA. This is an initial 12-month contract-to-hire opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop manufacturing processes that meet statistical process control requirements.
  • Provide guidance to engineering teams on design concepts and specification requirements.
  • Ensure processes and procedures comply with regulations.
  • Design manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining, and material handling.
  • Design arrangement of machines within plant facilities for efficient and productive layouts.
  • Develop sequence of operations and specify procedures for tool and equipment fabrication.
  • Adapt machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
  • Inspect performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify efficiency and initiate corrective action for problems and deficiencies.
Requirements:
  • US Citizenship
  • Minimum of a BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering
  • Thorough mechanically/electrically oriented manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in the Aerospace industry
  • Completed a significant manufacturing engineering project, ideally leading a team
  • Problem-solving experience, with green belt or black belt certification a plus
