About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Project Manager to join our team at Christman Constructors, Inc. in the Livonia region. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for providing overall leadership of civil and concrete projects, ensuring safety, profitability, and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Forecast project costs and gross profit for each monthly close
  • Coordinate with the Chief of Civil/Concrete Estimating for estimate and bid support
  • Develop project budgets based on current estimates and proposals
  • Approve vendor and subcontractor invoices
  • Estimate and quote extra work and document changes
  • Ensure project controls such as safety forms, work plans, submittals, RFI's, logs, and documents are organized and complete
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • Minimum five years of relevant work experience in the construction industry
  • Ability to interact with and develop effective working relationships with a wide range of people
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent written and oral skills
  • Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft 365

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The majority of work is completed outside at the construction site and in an office trailer. The position is often exposed to sounds and loud noises, such as construction equipment. The job requires the wearing of protective equipment when on the construction site.
