We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Maricopa County Correctional Health Services. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective management of medications within our correctional facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and reconcile medications, including controlled substances, to ensure compliance with DEA and Arizona State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
- Work with a team of nurses and pharmacy technicians to receive and categorize medications from an offsite pharmacy for distribution to medical clinics within the 5 Maricopa County Jails.
- Assist with medication transfer between clinics as needed and maintain accurate records of medication inventory and distribution.
- Collaborate with the contracted pharmacy to reduce fiscal waste of non-returnable medications and manage the destruction of unused 340B medications.
- Ensure compliance with vaccines for adults program and maintain accurate records of immunization distribution.
- Current, unrestricted Pharmacy Technician certification/license issued by the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience as a licensed Pharmacy Technician in a retail or wholesale setting is highly valued.
