Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Control Specialist to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for supervising all production control activities and providing input to fabrication schedules to ensure customer commitment dates are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise production control functions and staff to ensure efficient and effective production processes
  • Interact with the materials team to resolve production date gaps or Quality Control hold situations
  • Utilize manufacturing systems such as SAP and MES to review and analyze fabrication production levels and lot sizes
  • Investigate material discrepancies and ensure optimized production plans to support maximum throughput and efficiency
  • Communicate with production schedulers on NPI and Engineering Changes
  • Manage materials master settings for existing and new parts, and coordinate with Production Control staff, Production teams, Purchasing and Manufacturing Engineering on phase in/phase out materials
  • Review incoming production orders for accuracy and adherence to engineering/production guidelines
  • Identify and correct system errors related to production reporting, backflushing and inventory accuracy
  • Support and participate in Lean activities in the plant, and build a strong, motivated Production Control team
Requirements
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of modern planning techniques, manual and automated supporting systems, product line and structure
  • 8-10 years of related experience, or a 2-year degree in an appropriate field of study
  • Analytical skills to take data and provide a full story to the management team
  • Excel proficiency, SAP experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint)
  • SAP Modules: Sales and Distribution or Warehouse Management or Materials Management
