The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Attack Surface Security Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will play a critical role in identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities in our digital assets. Your expertise will help us maintain a strong security posture and protect our customers' sensitive information.

Main Responsibilities
  • Attack Surface Management: Develop and implement strategies to identify, classify, and prioritize digital assets that face the internet. This will involve leveraging tooling suites to identify weaknesses in ports and protocols exposed directly to the internet, and recommending meaningful changes to increase our security posture.
  • Collaboration and Liaison: Work closely with business stakeholders and technology teams to educate them on the importance of reducing information-related risk. This will involve maintaining an overview of the attack surface as a whole and its security aspects, and driving organizational change at all levels of the business.
  • Threat Modeling and Remediation: Partner with Risk and Architecture teams to drive policy and standards that promote stronger security controls and postures. This will involve monitoring industry trends for opportunities to improve our posture, including zero-day vulnerability identification and remediation.
  • Asset Inventory and Classification: Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date inventories of digital assets, including their classification and risk profiles.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on attack surface management, threat modeling, and remediation.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of cybersecurity threats, controls, risk mitigation, and remediation strategies. Experience with DNS and Web Application Security, as well as threat modeling and attack surface management.
