The role of the Program Security Representative is essential in delivering comprehensive security support across various Special Access Programs (SAPs). This position entails providing daily multi-faceted analysis for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and SAP activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Compliance Assurance: Uphold strict adherence to NISPOM, its Supplement, DoD Overprint, DCID, ICD, and SAP policies.
- Policy Development: Assist in crafting and executing approved policies and procedures to safeguard SAP, SCI, and collateral data in alignment with military operations.
- Security Support: Deliver ongoing security assistance, continuously assessing procedures to identify deficiencies and recommending enhancements to security policies and systems.
- Risk Assessment: Identify vulnerabilities, threats, and risks associated with testing, training, and operational activities.
- Operations Security Program: Contribute to the development, implementation, and training of the Operations Security program.
- Facility Oversight: Provide support and oversight for contractor and subordinate facilities.
- Briefings: Conduct briefings for personnel at all levels, including government and senior civilian services, on various security-related topics.
- Compliance Reviews: Conduct and document SAP facility compliance reviews, follow-up reviews, and facility closeouts.
- Corrective Action Monitoring: Track and report all corrective actions resulting from compliance reviews.
- Security Notifications: Ensure timely communication of relevant security matters to program technical and management staff.
- Incident Exploration: Investigate any loss, compromise, or suspected compromise of classified and/or sensitive information, including preliminary inquiries and damage assessments.
- Training Coordination: Collaborate with SAP security personnel to integrate lessons learned into the SAP security education and awareness program.
Experience:
- 8 – 10 years of relevant experience.
- Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) counts towards 3 years of experience.
- Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) counts towards 5 years of experience.
- Maximum equivalent experience for SPED Certifications is no more than 5 years.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience (4 years).
Security Clearance:
- Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
- Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information.
- Willingness to undergo a Counterintelligence polygraph.
