We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician - Mechanical Engineering to join our team at Omni Hotels & Resorts. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our hotel's mechanical systems.
Responsibilities- Schedule and complete equipment preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
- Operate and maintain low-pressure boilers for the hot water system, as well as other vessels for hot water, kitchen steam, and air conditioning systems.
- Assist mechanics and external contractors with repairs of hotel property and equipment, including commercial kitchen and laundry equipment, swimming pool and pool equipment.
- Complete all assigned work orders and daily tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
- Receive direction for house calls via radio and respond promptly to emergency situations.
- Have a thorough understanding of Omni fire alarm procedures and other emergencies, as well as Omni Hotel rules and regulations, and OSHA rules and regulations.
- Previous maintenance experience required, with a minimum of two years hotel and/or commercial building maintenance experience.
- One year of commercial kitchen and laundry equipment experience is required, with commercial refrigeration experience being a plus.
- Licensed electrician or electrician helper with experience is required.
- Previous experience with response to emergency situations is required.
- Good communication, attention to detail, time management, computer, and guest satisfaction skills are required.
- The ability to stand/walk for long periods of time, crawl for short periods of time, bend, reach over-head, squat, kneel for extended periods of time, lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally, and utilize step stools and ladders.
- Must be 21+ with a valid driver's license and complete drug screening for driving access.
