Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Technician Integrator to join our team at Jacobs. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electronics, electrical, and instrumentation systems, with experience in industrial system integration.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of an Associate of Applied Science degree in a relevant field and at least 2 years of experience in industrial system integration. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including MS Word, Access, Outlook, and Excel, is also required.

The Systems Technician Integrator will be responsible for providing technical support and integration services for our clients' industrial automation systems. This will include troubleshooting and testing, as well as providing on-site assistance during startup and testing activities.

The role has opportunities for growth and expansion, with the potential to work on complex systems, including gas detection design and engineering, PLC programming, and IT development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and integration services for industrial automation systems
  • Troubleshoot and test systems to ensure optimal performance
  • Provide on-site assistance during startup and testing activities
  • Work with cross-functional teams to design and implement system solutions
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and procedures

Requirements:

  • Associate of Applied Science degree in electronics, electrical, or instrumentation
  • At least 2 years of experience in industrial system integration
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including MS Word, Access, Outlook, and Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Cimplicity, Rockwell, and Ignition automation packages
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, including cable termination and IP addressing
  • Knowledge of test equipment, multi-meter, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices
  • Understanding of industrial automation protocols, including Modbus RTU/TCP
  • Understanding of analog, digital, and relay field wiring and troubleshooting
  • User-level experience with AutoCAD computer drafting software

Location:

This is an on-site position requiring work to be performed on the client site in Santa Clara/Sunnyvale, CA. The candidate must be willing to commute to the site Monday-Friday during normal business hours.

Relocation assistance may be provided for qualified candidates.

Physical Requirements:

The position requires field visits and walks at an active client site in various stages of construction. The applicant must be able to walk long distances, sit and stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, twist, crawl, climb ladders, work on catwalks, work in small spaces, lift and carry up to 25lbs.

Authorized to Work:

The applicant must complete a background check, drug screen, and be fully authorized to work for any client in the United States. Jacobs will not sponsor or continue a Visa for this position.
