About the Role

The Behavioral Health Consultant will be an integral part of our primary care treatment team, working closely with healthcare providers to identify and manage patients with medical and behavioral health issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide skill training through psycho-education and patient education strategies
  • Develop specific behavioral/therapeutic treatment plans for patients
  • Assist primary health care providers in recognizing and treating mental disorders and psychosocial problems
  • Detect 'at risk' patients and assess the clinical status of patients referred by the primary care provider

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Psychology or PhD/PsyD in Psychology from an accredited program
  • Licensed in California as an LCSW, Psychologist, LMFT, LPCC
  • At least two years' experience providing psychotherapy (CBT based models preferred) with children, adults, and adolescents
  • Computer proficiency, particularly with Electronic Health/Medical Record systems and the Microsoft Office suite
