Position Overview:

The MRI Imaging Technician is responsible for conducting routine and specialized magnetic resonance imaging procedures. This role involves producing high-quality MR images of specified anatomical regions in accordance with established protocols and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct MR imaging studies, ensuring to gather patient history and address any concerns regarding the procedures.
2. Under physician supervision, administer intravenous contrast media and manage any complications that may arise.
3. Schedule imaging cases to align with other patient examinations effectively.
4. Ensure patient comfort during positioning and transfers.
5. Implement MRI safety protocols and immobilize patients as necessary.
6. Maintain accurate documentation as required by the profession and departmental standards.

Professional Expectations:

The MRI Imaging Technician is expected to demonstrate an understanding of growth and development principles across various patient demographics. Responsibilities include:

- Providing direct patient care tailored to age-specific needs.
- Upholding safety regulations and actively participating in error reduction initiatives.
- Engaging in continuous professional development through educational opportunities and workshops.
- Delivering exceptional service to all stakeholders while fostering teamwork and innovation.

Physical and Environmental Demands:

This position requires:
- Frequent standing, walking, and talking.
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs and exposure to occupational hazards.

Qualifications:

- Associate's Degree in a relevant field is mandatory.
- A minimum of 2 years of pertinent experience is required.
- Basic Life Support certification and ARRT or ARMRIT MRI certification are necessary upon hire.
