Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiographer to join our team at WellSpan Health. As a Radiographer, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized diagnostic and technical radiographic procedures at an intermediate or beginning specialist skill level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performs radiographic examinations and diagnostic procedures in various specialty areas, including routine mammography and breast biopsies, operating room procedures, and trauma procedures.
  • Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations and positions and transfers patients safely and comfortably.
  • Explains basic procedures to patients and immobilizes them as necessary, practicing radiation safety procedures.
  • Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
  • Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops.
  • Provides outstanding service to all customers, fosters teamwork, and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.
  • Supervises, assists, and evaluates students in the clinical education setting.
  • Prepares and maintains written documentation as required by the profession and the department.
Requirements
  • Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology required.
  • 2 years of work experience in radiologic technology required.
  • Basic Life Support certification required upon hire.
  • Registered Radiologist Assistant, Registered Technologist-Bone Densitometry, Registered Technologist-Breast Sonography, Registered Technologist-Cardiac Interventional Radiology, Registered Technologist-Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology, Registered Technologist-Computed Tomography, Registered Technologist-Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Registered Technologist-Mammography, Registered Technologist-Nuclear Medicine Technologist, Registered Technologist-Quality Management, Registered Technologist-Radiation Therapy, Registered Technologist-Radiography, Registered Technologist-Sonography, Registered Technologist-Vascular Interventional Radiology, or Registered Technologist-Vascular Sonography certification required upon hire.
  • Accredited program in radiologic technology required upon hire.
