Responsibilities:
  • Develop navigation algorithms for maneuvering in complex social environments, including path planning, path following, obstacle detection, and avoidance.
  • Develop and integrate perception algorithms into other subsystems.
  • Build on existing behavior systems for task-management and problem solving.
  • Participate in production on-call support rotations.
Qualifications:
  • Experience with indoor autonomous navigation.
  • Strong C++ skills, solid Python skills.
  • Experience with ROS (Robot Operating System).
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with indoor localization and mapping.
  • Experience with 3D sensors for navigation and world modeling.
  • Experience with navigation around people.
  • Experience with the design of robust behavior systems for robots.
  • Experience with classical perception and computer vision algorithms.
  • Experience with numerical optimization techniques, especially with regard to calibration or motion planning.
