Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Behavior Analyst to join our team at The Arc of Southern Maryland. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide professionally guided support to clients, families, and providers in situations where significant behavioral risks are observed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct onsite record reviews and observations to identify areas of concern
  • Develop and review assessments and behavior management plans to ensure effective interventions
  • Collect and analyze behavioral data to inform treatment decisions
  • Use our agency software system to document and monitor cases, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
  • Train and monitor implementation of behavior management plans, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Work on-call shifts on a rotating basis to provide emergency support and crisis intervention services
  • Maintain and document contacts with outside liaisons, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and emerging trends
Requirements
  • Maryland State license for LBA, with an emphasis in behavior analysis and a minimum of two years' experience with behavior management
  • Proficiency in computer software, including Excel and Word
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Mandt certification, with the ability to obtain if not already held
  • A valid Maryland driver's license and reliable transportation
Work Environment

This role requires the ability to work in a variety of environments with behaviorally challenged individuals, with a focus on providing high-quality, person-centered support. The successful candidate will be able to maintain a high energy level and a calm demeanor throughout therapeutic interventions, with the ability to lift over 50 pounds and maintain a variety of postures as required.
