PTS Advance is seeking a dedicated Solid Waste Engineer to join our team and contribute to our mission of championing smart climate solutions and enhancing the natural environment. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in managing diverse solid waste projects across California, applying extensive knowledge of engineering and scientific principles in solid waste assignment areas.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and permit applications.
• Independently make decisions on engineering problems, coordinate work, and represent the company at meetings and conferences.
• Conduct field work, including surveys, data gathering, inspections, etc., in varied terrain and weather conditions.
• Perform office-based tasks such as CAD drafting, report writing, and permit applications.
• Contribute to business development efforts, including proposal preparation, client meetings, and attending industry-related events.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant working knowledge or demonstrated consulting experience in the solid waste industry, including landfill gas management, air compliance, and landfill design and permitting.
• E.I.T. required; California P.E. (civil) registration or ability to obtain within 6 months preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
