Senior Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team in Auburn Hills, MI. As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for developing detailed cost estimates for industrial and heavy commercial construction projects, including labor, equipment, materials, and subcontracts.

- Utilize construction estimating software such as PlanSwift and EDGE to accurately predict project costs.
- Participate in the bidding process, including preparing and submitting competitive bids.
- Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and other related documents to identify potential cost factors.
- Coordinate pre-bid meetings and site visits to gain a thorough understanding of project requirements and challenges.
- Prepare and issue Request for Information (RFI) documents to clarify project details and specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other construction professionals to develop comprehensive project strategies.
- Monitor and track project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budget.
- Evaluate and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Provide cost advice and guidance to clients and stakeholders as needed.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and new technologies to enhance estimating accuracy and efficiency.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software such as PlanSwift and EDGE.
- Extensive knowledge of industrial construction.
