Overview

Novant Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Pender Memorial Hospital in Burgaw, NC. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and prioritize patient care needs in the emergency department
  • Administer urgent medical treatments and interventions according to protocols
  • Work closely with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and communicate updates
  • Provide patient and family education, offering emotional support during emergencies
  • Assist with critical procedures like resuscitation and trauma stabilization as required
  • Accurately document patient information and care interventions in medical records
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • Current valid North Carolina nursing license required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required
  • 1 Year of ED experience in an acute hospital setting
