Emergency Department Registered Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Pender Memorial Hospital in Burgaw, NC.

About the Role

As an Emergency Department Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to assess and prioritize patient needs, administer urgent medical treatments, and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Quickly assess and prioritize patient care needs in the emergency department
  • Administer urgent medical treatments and interventions according to protocols
  • Work closely with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and communicate updates
  • Provide patient and family education, offering emotional support during emergencies
  • Assist with critical procedures like resuscitation and trauma stabilization as required
  • Accurately document patient information and care interventions in medical records
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nursing
  • Current valid North Carolina nursing license required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required
  • 1 Year of ED experience in an acute hospital setting
