Property Loss Claims Specialist

Your Responsibilities: As a Property Loss Claims Specialist, you will be tasked with investigating, assessing, negotiating, and resolving claims related to various property insurance coverages, including residential and commercial properties. Your role will involve:

  • Determining the cause of loss and interpreting insurance policies to ascertain coverage.
  • Evaluating the extent of the loss and establishing appropriate reserves.
  • Maintaining a service-oriented approach by fostering professional relationships with colleagues, supervisors, agents, policyholders, and other stakeholders.

The position will cover a designated area in the Northeast/East Central region.

Qualifications:

**Position level will be determined based on experience**

  • A college degree or equivalent experience, along with a minimum of 1 year in a relevant field, is required. Familiarity with insurance, agriculture, and basic construction materials is advantageous.
  • Ongoing education and maintenance of industry designations are expected.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a solid work ethic are essential.
  • Excellent customer service abilities, including strong verbal and written communication skills, are required.
  • Proficiency in computer systems is necessary for efficient operation.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and conduct thorough property assessments, including climbing ladders.
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel (50%+) for field appointments within your assigned area are necessary, with some overnight travel possible. A company vehicle will be provided.
  • Participation in required training sessions is expected.
