Job Title: Early Childhood Director

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Early Childhood Director to lead our full-day, high-quality pre-K education program serving both 3-year-olds and 4-year-olds. The successful candidate will be committed to education, be an excellent promoter of the school, and insist on program excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure program compliance with the Archdiocese of New York and NYCDOE Policies and Procedures
  • Ensure high-quality implementation of the Creative Curriculum Program
  • Supervise staff in providing a program that meets the varied needs of the children and families served by the program
  • Conduct daily walk-throughs, model best practices, and provide formative feedback to staff
  • Train and coach teaching staff to meet program standards
  • Use ECERS-3 and CLASS evaluations to plan for and implement ongoing program support
  • Work with the school Principal to evaluate staff performance
  • Use student and program assessment data to work with staff to meet the needs of all students
Qualifications:
  • Master of Education in Early Childhood, Early Childhood Special Education, or a related field
  • Current New York State Teaching Certification in Early Childhood or Childhood Teaching
  • At least 5 years of experience as a teacher with classroom experience, including 3 years of experience as a Lead Teacher in an Early Childhood classroom
  • At least 2 years of program leadership experience preferred
  • Experience working successfully in an inclusive and diverse work environment
  • Willingness to participate in workshops and other ongoing professional development opportunities related to leading a high-quality early childhood program
  • Proficient in the use of technology, including social media, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and ability to learn various educational communication platforms
