About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Supervisor for our distribution operations. This position will play a critical role in our new state-of-the-art distribution center, enhancing our capacity for finished goods and streamlining our supply chain to elevate customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct oversight to team members, including recruitment, performance evaluations, and development monitoring, ensuring resources are effectively utilized.
- Foster a safe, efficient, and positive work environment that encourages team growth and compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Exemplify and advocate for the company’s vision, values, and leadership principles.
- Ensure the efficient movement of materials and finished products in and out of the facility.
- Verify the availability and quality of materials to meet operational schedules.
- Oversee the ongoing receipt of materials and finished goods.
- Maintain accurate tracking and reporting of operational statuses.
- Coordinate storage and delivery of materials in line with established protocols and customer needs.
- Supervise timely shipments of materials and finished goods, ensuring operational requirements are met.
- Manage the integrity of databases and records related to material status.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and external partners.
- Uphold safety standards and training within the department, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
- Implement process improvement tools to enhance team efficiency.
- Lead or participate in special projects focused on receiving, shipping, and inventory management.
- Propose and develop strategies for improving operational methods and resolving issues.
- Utilize advanced knowledge of ERP systems to support operations.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and effective leadership skills.
- Capability to mentor and develop team members.
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP systems.
- Experience in a supervisory role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to interact with clients and resolve critical project issues.
Work Environment:
This role involves repetitive tasks and physical activity, including walking, standing, and lifting up to 40 lbs regularly. Flexibility in work schedules is required to meet business needs, and the position may involve working in various temperature-controlled environments.
