The Role

The Advanced Registered Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing respiratory clinical care to age-specific groups. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, delivering, and evaluating the treatment, care, and patient needs to achieve goals. As a member of our team, you will be expected to adhere to our Corporate Compliance Plan and all rules and regulations of local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and make appropriate decisions and interventions according to patient evaluation/needs.
  • Set patient goals, assisting in the development of a plan of care along with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Evaluate/interpret diagnostic data, including lab results and monitoring data.
  • Communicate effectively with the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Practice standard precautions and enforce safety regulations according to hospital policies.
  • Document and charge for procedures accurately and completely.
Requirements
  • Demonstrates, through behavior, AdventHealth Orlando's service standards.
  • Satisfactorily completes department orientation, airway management certification, critical care training program, Infant/Pediatric Emergency training program (campus specific), and advanced critical care-training program.
  • Practices standard precautions and enforces safety regulations according to hospital policies on a continual basis.
