Patient Care Associate: Renal Transplant- Part time, Nights

Albany Medical Center is seeking a skilled Patient Care Associate to join our Renal Transplant team on a part-time basis, working nights. As a key member of our caregiving team, you will provide high-quality patient care, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our patients.
Responsibilities- Collect and report patient data, including vital signs, height, and weight, as well as food and fluid intake and output.
- Participate in care planning and the nursing report process, ensuring seamless communication among team members.
- Provide personal care to patients, including bathing, oral care, and skin care, while promoting a clean, orderly, and safe environment.
- Assist patients with eating, hydration, grooming, dressing, and toileting, while employing safe patient handling techniques.
- Document all care in the patient record, maintaining accurate and up-to-date information.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Less than 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting or completion of a certified nurse assistant course preferred.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and ability to communicate effectively with patients, family members, and colleagues.
This role requires standing, walking, and lifting, with occasional pushing, pulling, and climbing. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively is essential.
