POSITION SUMMARY:
The Logistics Operations Supervisor will oversee all facets of warehouse and fleet operations. This role encompasses inbound and outbound material handling, storage solutions, procurement of materials and equipment, warehouse organization, and fleet maintenance. Responsibilities also include inventory management and the upkeep of tools and equipment.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Plan, organize, and manage overall warehouse operations.

• Procure and maintain the company’s vehicle and equipment fleets.

• Strategically allocate warehouse resources and activities in alignment with project goals and targets.

• Ensure accurate computerized inventory management.

• Safeguard the physical security of stored materials.

• Coordinate the shipment of project materials and equipment to designated sites.

• Conduct receiving inspections and document the receipt of project materials.

• Generate receiving reports and manage discrepancies related to overages, shortages, or damages.

• Implement cost-saving measures across all warehouse transactions, vehicle fleet, and equipment management.

• Provide weekly updates to team leaders regarding needs and concerns.

• Negotiate shipping rates with carrier representatives.

Safety:
• Maintain valid first aid and supervisory training certifications.

• Stay informed about safety solutions and personal protective equipment (PPE) relevant to construction trades.

• Review and approve safe work practices for assigned warehouse operations and staff.

• Conduct regular safety inspections on equipment and promptly address any incidents.

• Set a personal example of safe work behavior.

SUPERVISORY:
• Manage, lead, and mentor direct reports.

• This position may oversee the Warehouse Coordinator and additional staff for specific projects.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:


• High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 10 years of experience in heavy industrial construction, maintenance, or warehouse operations, including at least 5 years in fleet management.

• Familiarity with asset management and tracking software is preferred.

• At least 5 years of experience managing a mid-sized vehicle fleet.

• Minimum of 3 years working with rental fleet supplies.

• At least 2 years of experience operating counterbalance and all-terrain forklifts.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
• Knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project-specific regulations.

• Actively participate in daily toolbox meetings with crews and subcontractors while on-site.

• Set a personal example of safe behavior.

• Extensive knowledge of construction tools, materials, and equipment.

• Experience with various crafts including piping, steel erection, carpentry, millwrighting, electrical work, and concrete.

• Experience in shipping materials via ground, air, and barge.

• Maintain strong relationships with all team members and supervisors.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts performing physically demanding tasks in varying temperatures and outdoor conditions.


• Must possess physical strength and stamina; capable of lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds; able to stoop, kneel, balance, crouch, crawl, and climb as necessary.

• Ability to adapt to uncontrolled environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, and loud noises.

• Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

• Capable of working in confined, cluttered, and uneven areas, and at heights while adhering to safety protocols.


HOURS:
This is a full-time position typically requiring 50 hours of work per week, subject to project demands.

TRAVEL:
Travel may be required up to 90%, necessitating presence on project sites with occasional travel to the employee's residence.
