Job Summary:
An Ophthalmic Technician at Retina Vitreous Associates is a valuable asset to our team, providing exceptional patient care and assisting ophthalmologists in delivering excellent patient outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of eye anatomy, diseases, and symptoms, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families
- Assist ophthalmologists with patient exams and procedures
- Perform a variety of diagnostic tests, including dilation, refraction, and visual fields
- Record patient data and maintain accurate medical records
- Work effectively as part of a team to achieve practice goals
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; one-year related experience and/or training preferred
- COA or COT certification a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
