Sealed Air Corporation is seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Helper to become an integral part of our production team. In this role, you will support Machine Operators in the operation of production machinery, prioritizing safety and product quality. This position offers a pathway for growth into a Machine Operator role through hands-on training and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the safe and efficient operation of production machinery to ensure the delivery of high-quality products through constant monitoring and adjustments of equipment settings.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure working environment.
- Ensure timely production of orders to meet customer demands and operational targets.
- Participate in product labeling, packing, and supply line support to facilitate smooth production flow.
- Conduct quality inspections and testing as required, maintaining accurate documentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas in compliance with company standards, including 6S practices.
- Assist in routine preventative maintenance tasks to uphold equipment functionality.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall production goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic proficiency in math, reading, and computer skills.
- Strong commitment to safety practices.
- Ability to think critically and solve problems effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of college-level courses or attendance at a trade school is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Experience operating cranes, forklifts, and similar equipment is a plus.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent standing, walking, and bending required.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift items weighing at least 30 lbs.
- Good eye/hand coordination is essential.
