Position Summary
We are currently seeking a dedicated Healthcare Security Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and security of our healthcare facilities, patients, visitors, and staff. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for understanding and implementing site-specific policies and procedures, as well as responding to emergencies with professionalism and care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a visible security presence to deter criminal activity and maintain order.
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility and monitor for suspicious behavior.
- Respond promptly to incidents, providing assistance and securing the scene as necessary.
- Complete detailed reports and documentation of incidents and activities.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure a safe environment for all.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups.
- Hold a valid security license as required by state regulations.
- Successfully complete a background check and drug screening.
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills and the ability to handle crisis situations calmly.
Physical Requirements
Candidates should be able to:
- Work in various environmental conditions, including extreme weather.
- Occasionally lift or carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Stand or walk for extended periods.
