Position Overview
The primary objective of this role is to deliver specialized technical knowledge across various domains of Process Technology. This position is responsible for guiding fellow engineers in executing project tasks and may supervise multiple engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrated expertise in Transport phenomena is crucial, encompassing:
- Thermodynamics
- Heat transfer
- Fluid dynamics
- Mass transfer - Experience in process systems engineering is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, along with the ability to uphold process discipline, manage schedules, and oversee budgets, are essential.
- Potential to lead a process team on projects, directing the design of various process areas or units to create drawings and specifications for studies, feasibility assessments, Front End Engineering Development (FEED), or Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, and Construction (EPFC).
- Formulate Process Technology Quality and Activity Plans for projects of moderate to intermediate complexity.
- Propose and develop efficient work processes tailored to specific projects to ensure the success of Fluor.
- Provide support for the execution of the Project Execution Plan.
- Conduct inspections and audits to verify compliance with specified requirements.
- Execute Fluor's scope of work in accordance with contractual obligations.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- A recognized four (4) year degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline, coupled with sixteen (16) years of relevant work experience; professional certification or registration in the applicable field may be required, with potential additional qualifications based on local regulations.
- Effective communication skills for engaging with diverse audiences, including management, colleagues, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
- Technical knowledge pertinent to the role is necessary for successful job performance.
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of relevant local, state/province, and federal/national regulations and guidelines.
- Attention to detail and the capability to work efficiently within time constraints are essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge and experience in Transport phenomena are essential, covering:
- Thermodynamics
- Heat transfer
- Fluid dynamics
- Mass transfer - Process systems engineering experience is preferred.
- Strong communication abilities, along with the capacity to maintain discipline schedules and manage budgets, are highly desirable.
