Job Title: Financial Advisor

CUSO Financial Services, L.P. (CFS) is seeking a Licensed Financial Advisor to provide retirement and investment services for members of Los Angeles Police Federal Credit Union in the greater Los Angeles, CA area.

Responsibilities
  1. Identify and evaluate customer needs for financial services, assess the objectives and goals of the individual, then develop an investment strategy to implement.
  2. Stay current and analyze market conditions and educate yourself about financial and investment vehicles in the market and the tax and securities consequences to clients with particular investments.
  3. Attend training and/or complete required continuing education and keep current on investment products and services offered.
  4. Meet regularly with Program Manager and train, if necessary, with Program Manager.
  5. Drive investment and program integration initiatives with credit union and/or assigned bank program (includes branch personnel training).
  6. Provide regular feedback to the branch employees, identified credit union executives and sales manager regarding sales practices and business development initiatives.
  7. Work with Financial Center Managers to identify and leverage cross-sell opportunities.
  8. Service and perform periodic reviews of existing client accounts and meet with clients periodically to review and update client needs ensuring investment objectives and goals are progressing according to plan.
  9. Meetings to take place either monthly, quarterly and/or yearly depending on client needs established by Representative.
  10. Remain visible to the appropriate segments of the public to meet and to retain potential new clients for CFS, including conducting client workshops/seminars on various topics (i.e., Social Security, Education planning, Retirement planning, etc.).
Required Qualifications
  • Active Series 7, 63/65 (or 66) licenses along with Life, Accident & Health licenses
  • Clean U-4 and Background
  • Two or more years of sales experience in the financial services industry, preferably in a bank or credit union
Desired Qualifications
  • Undergraduate Degree in Business, Finance, or related field
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation
  • Experience delivering high quality service in all interactions with clients, prospective clients, and staff within a financial institution environment.
  • An advanced level of performance and work ethic requiring minimum supervision.
