Job Title: Construction Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to join our team at The TJX Companies, Inc. This is a remote-based position that requires travel to various locations across Florida, Puerto Rico, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead new store construction and remodel projects, working closely with Landlords, Architects, General Contractors, and Planning Departments.
  • Manage construction progress, ensuring timely completion and quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with internal partners, including the Construction Department and Field Operations Teams, to provide construction updates.
  • Travel as needed for progress and quality assurance checks.
  • Handle budgets and change orders.
  • Support store operations, including timing issues, gaining access to new stores, and maintenance and warranty items.
  • Lead communication up and down the chain, providing accurate and timely updates to MOD, General Contractors, and Store Operations.
  • Review preliminary and final construction documents to ensure adherence to project plans.
  • Ensure compliance with project plans, building specifications, and third-party contract Terms.
  • Seek, qualify, and develop new general contractors for new store construction and remodel projects.
  • Develop new construction processes to increase efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of construction project management experience.
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish is preferred.
  • Basic digital literacy (Word, Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint).
  • Basic construction management software abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Thorough understanding of construction trades, building codes, and building methods.
  • Strong project management skills, demonstrated through experience in leading construction projects from planning stages through occupancy.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and can work in a state of ambiguity.
  • Ability to think strategically, anticipate future consequences, and trends.
  • Ability to take initiative, use good judgment, demonstrate a strong prioritization, and carry multiple projects through to completion.

This position has a starting salary range of $90,200 to $115,200 per year. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual incentive as well as long-term incentives.
