We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Pre-Kindergarten Educator to join our team at International Leadership of Texas. As a PK Teacher, you will be responsible for providing high-quality early childhood instruction in a Pre-Kindergarten classroom setting, ensuring students develop the skills and competencies needed to succeed in society.
Key Responsibilities- Instructional Strategies
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with district curriculum and demonstrate a deep understanding of student learning styles and needs.
- Plan and deliver instructional activities that reflect accommodations for individual student differences and meet the requirements of the Texas Education Agency.
- Conduct ongoing assessment of student achievement through formal and informal testing.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver educational activities and services to students who require additional support.
- Student Growth and Development
- Assume responsibility for extracurricular activities as assigned and sponsor outside activities approved by the campus principal.
- Be a positive role model for students and support the mission of the school district.
- Classroom Management and Organization
- Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students.
- Manage student behavior in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct and student handbook.
- Take all necessary precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Communication
- Establish and maintain a professional relationship with parents, students, colleagues, and community members.
- Professional Growth and Development
- Participate in staff development activities to improve job-related skills.
- Comply with state, district, and school regulations and policies for classroom teachers.
- Attend and participate in faculty meetings and serve on staff committees as required.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- Valid Texas Teaching Certification for Early Childhood or PK ESL Certification.
- Acceptance in an approved Alternative Certification Program (ACP) and passing the required prerequisite examinations for Early Childhood or Pre-K.
- One year of Pre-K teaching experience (if not certified, a commitment to enroll in an Alternative Certification Program).
