Job Title: Prekindergarten Teacher

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Teacher to join our team at Primrose School of Kingwood. As a Pre-K teacher, you will play a vital role in helping young minds explore, discover, and understand the world around them.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage a group of children, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Implement the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum and programming.
  • Assess each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis and plan accordingly.
  • Provide a nurturing and supportive environment that encourages children to create, explore, and make decisions with confidence.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to education.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance teaching skills and stay up-to-date with best practices.
Requirements:
  • Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency.
  • Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred.
  • Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
  • Infant - Preschool Teachers: 2 year degree in early childhood or related field preferred.
  • Pre-Kindergarten Lead Teachers: 4 year degree in early childhood or related field required, assistants do not need degree.
  • Kindergarten Teacher: 4 year degree in early childhood and certified to teach in the state in which the school operates required.
