Facility Maintenance Technician

Position Summary: The role involves providing essential support to the facility through various janitorial and maintenance tasks.
This position operates during the second shift, commencing between noon and 3:30 PM.
- Conduct janitorial duties and related services for the facility, including grounds maintenance, managing supplies, assisting with submissions, and supporting purchase order requests.
- Input Work Order details into the current maintenance software for all assigned responsibilities.
- Notify the Facility Operations Manager of any maintenance and safety issues.
- Gather recyclable materials as identified by the facility and ensure proper recycling according to facility guidelines.
- Provide lobby coverage assistance as necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; at least two years of experience in janitorial maintenance or a related field.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the tools, techniques, practices, and materials required for safely and effectively executing assigned duties. Significant understanding of relevant environmental standards.
- Capability to operate office equipment such as personal computers, calculators, copiers, and fax machines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software applications.
- Skill in maintaining precise and accurate records and reports.
- Ability to prioritize and organize tasks to ensure timely completion of all assignments.
- Physical capability to walk, stand, bend, and lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate well within a team as well as work independently.
- Ability to manage confidential information and materials.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Successful completion of a thorough background investigation is required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a "Q" Security Clearance if mandated by the Facility Security Officer.
Compensation and Benefits: $17.20/hour. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Accrued Vacation Pay, Holiday Pay, Accrued Sick Pay, and a 401k match.
