Medical Surgical Specialty Registered Nurse RN

The Medical Surgical Specialty Registered Nurse RN is a critical role at Swedish Medical Center, where we prioritize the care and improvement of human life. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient conditions during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, ensuring thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor patients for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication.
- Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.
- Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate nursing licensure.
- Current BLS Certification through AHA or ARC.
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing, BSN preferred.
