Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse demonstrates advanced knowledge and skills while understanding the unique aspects of the patient population served. Each service requires specialized skills. Care delivery is based on the physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety, and learning needs of each individual patient. The Registered Nurse may rotate to areas outside of their assigned service area and will perform only those duties for which they have demonstrated competency. The Registered Nurse carries out delegated duties consistent with their scope of practice and operates within the philosophy and overall plan of care delivery at Swedish Medical Center.

Position Requirements:

  • Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate nursing licensure, along with Current BLS Certification through AHA or ARC.
  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
  • Able to articulate and demonstrate appropriate nursing theory and practice.
  • Exhibits strong organizational skills and provides safe and appropriate patient care in accordance with the Standards of Nursing Practice at Swedish Medical Center.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment and problem-solving skills, communicating positively and professionally with all internal and external stakeholders.
