Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health is in search of a committed Registered Nurse for our Intensive Care Step Down Unit. Our facility is dedicated to providing advanced medical care and support for a diverse range of health conditions.

Our Medical Center has undergone significant expansion, enhancing our capabilities with a modernized facility that includes a state-of-the-art Intensive Care Unit.


Qualifications:

Required:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Proficient in computer applications

Preferred:
- Experience in Telemetry or Critical Care nursing
- CCRN Certification

Certifications and Licenses:
Required:
- BLS and ACLS Certification
- Active Registered Nurse License in New Jersey

Scheduling Requirements:
- Day Shift, 7a-7p, hours per week
- Monday to Friday, with every other weekend and rotating holidays

Essential Functions:

The Registered Nurse delivers comprehensive nursing care within the defined scope of practice, adhering to regulatory standards and ethical guidelines. Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring safety in practice and engaging in evidence-based care.
  • Identifying and reporting safety concerns and medical errors.
  • Supervising and directing team members in patient care tasks.
  • Utilizing the nursing process to create individualized care plans.
