Occupational Therapists play a crucial role in assisting individuals with disabilities, injuries, or health conditions by facilitating the enhancement or restoration of their functional abilities through practical daily activities.
These professionals address a variety of conditions—be they mental, physical, developmental, or emotional—helping clients cultivate and sustain essential life and work skills.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
To be eligible for this role, candidates must fulfill specific criteria pertaining to their background, health, and standards established by the Air Force and relevant authorities.
Educational Background
Completion of an accredited occupational therapy program is required, with a minimum of an entry-level master's degree, although a doctorate is preferred.
Experience Requirements
Applicants should possess at least six months of experience in occupational therapy roles, which includes planning, managing, and executing therapeutic interventions and activities.
Additionally, candidates must hold a valid state license and registration to practice occupational therapy, along with a minimum of 24 months of supervised clinical experience in an occupational therapy setting.
Completion of the Officer Training School course is also necessary.
Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 42.
