At Potomac Healthcare Solutions, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Athletic Trainer to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare services team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch athletic training services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide athletic training services within the scope of practice as defined by the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA).
  • Develop and implement rehabilitation protocols and interventions for athletes.
  • Assist in the development of the unit's rehabilitation system in accordance with local, state, and national laws and regulations.
  • Perform patient tests, measurements, and evaluations to aid in developing and/or revising treatment programs.
  • Participate in periodic meetings with healthcare providers to review care provided to patients and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Design and fabricate protective pads, equipment, and braces to prevent and treat injuries.
  • Provide instruction and guidance within the scope of practice.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to enhance the quality of patient care delivered.
  • Conduct equipment, product, and literature reviews to ensure current provision of care.
  • Participate in quarterly peer reviews for non-privileged healthcare providers.
  • Attend and participate in meetings with other healthcare staff members and medical personnel as requested and/or required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training (Master's degree preferred).
  • National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATABOC) certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accumulated post-professional experience as an ATC with individual athletes and groups of athletes at the levels of NCAA Division I Collegiate, Olympic, professional sports, and/or Special Operations/AFSPECWAR Operators.
  • Current certification by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or obtain within the first year of employment.
  • Valid, unrestricted license from one of the 50 United States or its territories and maintain credentialing requirements in good standing at a local MTF where applicable.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
