Medication Care Specialist

We are seeking an exceptional Medication Care Specialist to join our dedicated team at Experience Senior Living Co.
This is a part-time/PRN opportunity that requires a strong passion for delivering high-quality care and making a positive impact on the lives of seniors. As a Medication Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of our residents by providing medication reminders and assistance, administering medications as allowed by state guidelines, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities- Medication Management: Provide medication reminders and assistance according to state regulations, administer medications as allowed by state guidelines, order and receive medication, and ensure all medications are available for administration.
- Communication: Communicate with pharmacy if medications are not available, prioritize tasks to ensure optimum services to residents, and maintain resident's records in our digital platform daily.
- Care Delivery: Perform room visits and room checks on a regular basis, assist with resident care when needed, respond promptly and positively to resident requests for assistance, and monitor the safety and well-being of residents.
- Compliance: Audit and check rooms for medications self-administered by residents, ensures compliance to guidelines, maintains open communication with supervisor and/or peers, and may perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
To be successful in this role, you must possess a High School Diploma; or two (2) to four (4) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
You should also have the ability to work varied schedules to include weekends, evenings, and holidays, as well as obtain and maintain any required certifications, such as medication certification and First Aid and CPR Certification.
Able to read and interpret documents, apply common sense understanding, and demonstrate a high level of service delivery and hospitality. Must be able to work cooperatively with a group of people, communicate effectively, and adapt to varying customer needs.
